SHaRON Benefits: Providing online community for relatives and carers to support each other empathise, ask questions, seek advice from peers and clinicians. A volume of informative appropriate information and signposting to read. Accessed from the first meeting, reducing isolation and a community non-judgemental people who have similar things happening in their child’s life.
The Anxiety Disorder Treatment Team (ADTT) treat children and young people with generalised anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, separation anxiety, panic disorder, agoraphobia, selective mutism, specific phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), and Tic disorders.
The ADTT team invite the parents and Carers of the child/young person to join SHaRON, which they can find a host of help resources such as CAMHS Parent Workshop: What you need to know recording and presentations. The team also regularly post information sheets and host a ‘Find out Friday’ events, where they invite parents to log in to SHaRON and ask any questions around a topic for example on situational mutism, a colleague from the ADTT team will be on SHaRON throughout the day to answer question and post resources.
